Greater Peterborough Area Community Sustainability Plan Approved!

The City of Peterborough commits to the on-going pursuit of environmental, economic, and socio-cultural sustainability by adopting the Greater Peterborough Area Community Sustainability Plan.

Sustainable Peterborough is an integrated community sustainability plan (ICSP) developed for the Greater Peterborough Area. The Plan reflects our community vision for the next 25 years: Caring communities balancing prosperity, well-being and nature.

The Plan also sets goals, strategic directions, and actions to foster healthy environments, people, and economies by guiding the way to reduced environmental impacts, strengthened social networks, and increased economic prosperity.

Sustainable Peterborough – Final Plan

Spring into Sustainability

Our community, the Greater Peterborough Area, has undertaken an exciting journey towards sustainability through the development of an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan, known as the Sustainable Peterborough Plan.

If you are interested in becoming involved in Sustainable Peterborough check out our partnership opportunities here.

Further details on the implementation of the plan will be coming soon. Stay tuned!

Help us prioritize potential actions!

For those of you who couldn’t make it out to the last round of Community Cafes we have developed an online survey to allow you to provide the same feedback. With the input received to date, we have developed some draft actions in each of the eleven theme areas of focus for Sustainable Peterborough, and are looking for your thoughts on which should become a priority.

Also, we’re looking for suggestions on potential partner organizations,  groups, businesses, etc. to help make these actions a reality.

Please take a couple of minutes to complete the survey by clicking here.
