Ready for Rain Peterborough presents the Avenues Neighbourhood Re-visioning Workshop!
Join us as we re-vision how we can build water-friendly and flood resistant neighbours within Peterborough. Creativity is encouraged as we map a ‘Blue Vision’ and re-discover how we interact with, protect, and think about our most essential resource – water.
Facilitated by Basterfield and Associates, the re-visioning workshop will encourage discussions on water throughout the City, utilizing the Avenues Neighbourhood as an example of how a neighbourhood perspective can encourage collaboration among decision-makers, businesses, professionals, and residents.
Through this workshop we will learn about new opportunities for water management such as green infrastructure, creating space for people and projects to connect, re-visioning where actions such as rain gardens may fit into our community, and creating short, medium, and long term goals that we can all work toward within and around the Avenues Neighbourhood.
