Central Smith has been a part of the Peterborough/Selwyn community for over 120 years. Starting out as a dairy co-op for the local farmers in the early 1900s, it eventually transitioned to perfecting ice cream in the 1950s and has never looked back. Our product is now being enjoyed coast to coast, but we have always stayed true to our small-town values. Family owned since 1978, the Scates family has now had 3 generations that have worked in the business.
Our premium quality ice cream comes from old-fashioned techniques and is what sets us apart from our competition. We now offer over 75 different flavours and products that are available for pickup at our parlour, or at many scooping parlours in the area.
