Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup with Fleming College & WWF

October 14, 2017

Fleming College and WWF-Canada invite you to join students and staff from the college, as well as families and residents of Peterborough in helping protect wildlife and the places they call home with the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup of Little Lake on Saturday October 14, 2017.

Did you know that approximately 80% of ocean plastic originates on land? At this rate, it's estimated there will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050.

By rolling up our sleeves we can make a positive impact, stopping litter in its tracks before it can get into our lakes, rivers, and beyond. Together, we can help make Del Crary Park and Rogers Cove shorelines healthier and safer for all living things.

Registration opens at 1pm under the Del Crary Park landmark Bandshell. Snacks, prizes and cleanup supplies will be available, as well as opportunities for pictures with the WWF panda mascot.
