April is Earth Month – Get out and get involved!

2015 Earth Month events will focus on reducing the impacts of everyday activities on the environment, and reminding individuals to make wise choices that collectively have a positive environmental impact. Planned events include waste reduction, energy conservation, environmental education, tree planting and the clean-up of local parks, schoolyards, trails and neighbourhoods.

Join Otonabee Conservation and the Otonabee Conservation Foundation for the 17TH Annual Earth Day Jackson Creek Clean Up on Saturday April 25, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Volunteers can meet at the main entrance to Jackson Park at Monaghan/Parkhill Rd. and will collect litter from Jackson Park and the Trans Canada Trail. Bags, gloves, t-shirts and refreshments will be provided thanks to our community sponsors Tim Hortons, Swish Maintenance and the City of Peterborough. This event is RAIN OR SHINE.
